A fan since 1984, Shawn captures JBJ’s unique tone and delivery with an authenticity that sets Captain Crash apart from other tributes. Shawn’s journey began at age 13 with the guitar, though his natural love for singing quickly took hold. In 1995, he performed nationwide with the U.S. Army Soldier Show, an experience that cemented his love for entertaining crowds. In the early 2000s, he co-founded the Central PA cover band Smooth Like Clyde, further honing his skills as a frontman. His dedication to music also led him to audition for The Voice, where he advanced through several rounds, nearly reaching the televised auditions. In 2025, Shawn released his debut single Wide Awake, now available on Spotify and streaming platforms. Captain Crash is his first tribute project, a labor of love he had envisioned for many years, now brought to life on stage.

Offstage, he enjoys the outdoors, riding dirt bikes, traveling, and tackling DIY projects, all with the same energy he brings to performing.
