MEET SHAWN

Shawn is Jon Bon Jovi in Captain Crash, stepping into the spotlight to bring the voice and spirit of Bon Jovi to life. For him, it’s more than a role, it’s an honor. A fan since 1984, Shawn captures JBJ’s unique tone and delivery with an authenticity that sets Captain Crash apart from other tributes. While many focus on recreating the look, Shawn brings the voice and soul that fans instantly recognize, earning frequent praise for how much he “sounds just like JBJ.” His lifelong fandom fuels his passion, making every performance a heartfelt tribute.

Shawn’s journey began at age 13 with the guitar, though his natural love for singing quickly took hold. In 1995, he performed nationwide with the U.S. Army Soldier Show, an experience that cemented his love for entertaining crowds. In the early 2000s, he co-founded the Central PA cover band Smooth Like Clyde, further honing his skills as a frontman. His dedication to music also led him to audition for The Voice, where he advanced through several rounds, nearly reaching the televised auditions. In 2025, Shawn released his debut single Wide Awake, now available on Spotify and streaming platforms. Captain Crash is his first tribute project, a labor of love he had envisioned for many years, now brought to life on stage.

Beyond Captain Crash, Shawn’s musical inspirations span every genre, from Keith Urban, Fleetwood Mac, and The Eagles to Michael Bublé, Post Malone, and Tina Turner. Offstage, he enjoys the outdoors, riding dirt bikes, traveling, and tackling DIY projects, all with the same energy he brings to performing.

People tell me I sound like JBJ, and that’s the greatest compliment I could ever get. I don’t just want to sound like him, I want to bring fans back to that feeling of being part of something bigger than yourself, a Bon Jovi concert where the music, the crowd, and the moment all become one.
