At the center of Captain Crash is lead vocalist Shawn Boksan, whose natural vocal tone and range have drawn comparisons to Jon Bon Jovi for years. Rather than impersonating Jon, Shawn focuses on capturing the power, phrasing, emotion, and character of the vocals that define these songs. From the grit and intensity of the rock anthems to the dynamics of the ballads, his ability to authentically deliver the Bon Jovi catalog is the foundation of the Captain Crash sound.
On guitar, Todd Bochenko brings decades of rock experience and a playing style shaped by influences including Van Halen, Rush, AC/DC, and Richie Sambora. Todd combines technical ability with the tone, feel, and melodic approach needed to bring Sambora’s unmistakable guitar work to life. Just as importantly, his backing vocals help recreate the harmonies that are such an essential part of Bon Jovi’s sound.
On bass, Jason Miles combines gospel groove, funk sensibility, and rock attitude to provide the foundation underneath the band. Influenced by drummers including John Bonham, Chad Smith, Taylor Hawkins, Travis Barker, Matt Greiner, and Tico Torres, Nate brings versatility and intensity to every performance. His experience includes performing with Shortbus Fight Kid, Sleepless Bandits, Gentlemen, Y2Kids, and LCBC Church. Nate brings his own personality to the drums while staying true to the driving feel and solid foundation that Tico Torres brought to Bon Jovi’s music.
